Red Dot Sights (RDS) for handguns isn’t a new technology in general; however, it is newer to the public in the more recent years.  This is a game changing sighting system for speed and accuracy but even more importantly it allows you to maintain focus on your target.  With this sighting system, people often are not using the sighting system correctly as it was designed for – treating it like iron sights.  Proper and effective use of RDS does not work this way.  This course is designed to go over the pros and cons of the RDS systems on the market, teach you how to properly use the sighting system, draw and presentation with a RDS system and teach alternate methods of aiming if your RDS should become occluded.

Gear Required:

  • MUST have Semi-Automatic firearm
  • 1  Spare Magazine ( 2 Preferred)
  • RDS Sight Hard sided holster (NO pancake or serpa holsters)
  • Min of 100 rounds of ammunition (available for purchase in the store)
  • Eye and ear protection (A front facing brimmed hat is recommended but not necessary)

  • First shot accuracy with follow through
  • Tactical reloads / Empty gun reloads
  • Addressing malfunctions – both operator induced and mechanically induced
  • Learning to move and shoot
